My boyfriend and I don't have a lot of time to spend together, we both live and different states. I found out the week before, that he had a weekend to visit.
I searched places in the area from Breckenridge to Estes and didn't have any luck. I really wanted the weekend to be special for us.

I was about to give up when I found the SkyRun website and saw what lovely condos they had available. The condo we stayed at was amazing and was exactly what anyone would wanted for a getaway weekend.

The condo was nestled on a corner lot, next too a babbling brook. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the condo so much we rarely left it's scenic peaceful patio.

We did, however, decide on our last night there to walk over to the hot tub for some relaxation. We were both in the hot tub sitting across from each other gazing at the stars when he cries out grabs the back of his head and looks around, then at me in udder surprise.

I had no idea what was going on and just thought he had something to say, but just as I was asking him what was wrong I feel teeth like scratching on my leg and arm. It was my turn to panic, it was nothing like I had ever felt before, especially in a sauna. My mind raced with wild ideas about what could possibly be going, a piranha!? I screamed and scurried out of the water faster than my legs could carry me.

What was it we both wondered in shock!!!!??? AS we were examining the tub, we noticed a small gray critter huddled in the tub's skimmer. We then realized we were sharing it with a chipmunk!

He was wet and struggling to breath and kept crawling in the hot tub's skimmer. We didn't know what to do! We tried the pool net but it wasn't working. So finally, I just reached into the pool with a towel and grabbed the chipmunk by the tail and pulled him out. We dried him off the best we could and he scampered on his way. What an experience it was!

We still laugh about it each time. Regardless of the hilarious chipmunk surprise, I would recommend SkyRun vacation rentals to anyone. Thank you for making our weekend so memorable!
