My oldest son was an old pro at 14. So when we got off the Peru Express he was wanting to go off by himself. Now my 10 year old was a different story. I put him in Snowboarding school the first couple of days. He did great and had all the fundamentals down so he was ready to go off with dad and big brother. Being from Alabama the biggest mountain he had ever seen was 2500 ft. So we got on the Peru Express and he was really excited. Checking out the trail map on the lift then going over Area 51, he was ready. Then came time to exit the lift, I could see the fear building in his eyes. I told him to remember what he was taught and not to worry they will stop the lift if you fall. Well he fell and the attendant stopped the lift and was very nice and gave him a couple of pointers. He got better at it and we had so much fun that day he was exhausted. I had to get Snow Patrol to give him a ride down on a Snowmobile that night. He's been boarding on the east coast a couple of times since then but ALWAYS keeps asking "WHEN ARE WE GOING BACK TO KEYSTONE!". That was a trip he will always remember. Keystone will always be the absolute best.
