Surprise Ski Trip 2013! My beautiful, intelligent and hardworking wife and I met 25yrs ago skiing. In 2013 we were celebrating three events- my 50th birthday, her graduating with a new Master's degree in Counseling, and our 20th Wedding Anniversary. My wife had been working so hard to complete her Master's so I thought she deserved a special trip.
In March, I had some work in Chicago and said to Caroline, "why don't you come down to Chicago with me and we can celebrate with dinner that night?" Well, when my work was done that day and it was time for dinner I said, "Caroline, we are going to a nice dinner tonight but not in Chicago, in Keystone Colorado!" She was literally shocked and I think it took her a few hours for it to completely sink in. We immediately boarded a flight to Denver. That weekend we enjoyed romantic meals at the Ski Tip Lodge,Der Fondue Chessel, and Wolf Rock Steakhouse, fantastic skiing and accommodations at The Springs. We won't forget that special trip!
