Keystone

Lindsey was 5 when she first skied Loveland Basin. I picked up some miniature skis from a garage sale and away she went. After a few trips to Loveland Basin she quickly graduated to the bunny hill at A-Basin and traded in the skis for a snowboard. She caught on to snowboarding much faster than skiing and loved it. After two group lessons at A-Basin, we hired a private instructor for an all day lesson at Keystone. I assumed she would be practicing on the front side of Keystone (easier runs) when she and her instructor flew by us on Mozart (a steep intermediate run backside of Keystone). It was exciting and exilerating to see that everything finally came together for Lindsey and she could fly down intermediate and expert runs and ride the rails. Well, Lindsey moved to Keystone three years ago and the rest is history. When I go up to Keystone I always know where to find her on any given day -- cruising the rails in the backbowls of Keystone.
